What does strength training involve?strength training typically refers to just lifting weights, because you need to push or pull against a certain amount of resistance. for the most part, pilates and yoga use your own body weight in ways that don't really require a lot of force. it's more of a hold and stretch, which i believe is good for muscular endurance. it's different from doing something like push-ups, pull-ups, and body squats because your body serves as the weight you're pushing/pulling.
