It is also a very good idea to do some relaxing yoga in the evening before bed, as it helps relieve some of the stress of the day and prepare your body for sleep.

As for thai chi, I don't do it so I can't speak from experience, but I believe it would be just as beneficial to do some in the morning and in the evening as well if you choose that path.
