Cardio work out plan?in my opinion, i think you should consult with a trainer at a gym for a better answer.Diet is at least 80% of the game when it comes to weight loss. If you take in less calories than you burn, you WILL lose weight. Start writing down what you eat, or if you have a smartphone download the Tap & Track app. It'll take the guesswork out of calorie counting.

With that being said, workout routines will allow you to increase the amount of calories that you burn. It will also allow you to maintain/increase lean muscle mass while you lose bodyfat.

Starvation diets don't work. If you don't eat enough, you'll lose lean muscle mass along with the bodyfat. An extreme example of this is anorexia. Anorexics have very bodyfat, but also very little muscle mass. The key is to maintain or build muscle mass (not like a bodybuilder, so don't worry). Lean muscle mass will burn calories even while you're just watching tv, sleeping, and not working out.

You can expect to lose safely lose a pound or two every week without losing muscle mass in the process.
