GVSU classes on the ball
Grand Valley professor of movement science, John Kilbourne, wanted to test the idea that if you engage the body, you better engage the mind. So his classes sit on exercise balls rather than chairs -- with surprising results.

10 points! How will sitting/bouncing on a yoga ball instead of sitting in a chair effect my weight? ?120 calories per hour110 -120 cal and its a low inpact way to lose the baby weightfor weight loss I'd rank the exercise ball as useless... its good for loosinging up, stretching, and perhaps toning but I really doubt anyone would lose wieght from it
the fastest way to get your body back to the way you like it or the way it was is jumping jacks... I don't care how many caliries it burns per hour its simply what tends to give the best resultsI wouldn't say it's any more strenuous than sitting and typing at an office..around 100 calories an hour for a 150 pound person. That's just MY opinion.
The benefits of sitting on the ball will improve your posture, balance, and strengthen/tone your core more than your legs.
You will definitely be more conscious of what muscle groups you use when you are sitting because there is not something supporting you-you are supporting something else (the ball-keeping it in place)
my office too
