Is Yoga good for Arthritis?both swimming and yoga are very very good for arthritis afflicted people

as for swimming- weight bearing helps bones more, but swimming has the biggest range of motion and when muscles are stronger, they can more easily support weak bones. (this would be my activity of choice if i knew how to swim)



as for yoga- because of its slow paced, peaceful, stretching- the body can become less stiff. a lot of this requires a lot of muscle and may be hard but it loosens someone up sooooo well. Also, a lot of arthritis is caused by stress (even subconsciously) so being relaxed helps a lot. (my mom wants me to do this but i think its boring and hard --*i'm a teenager*)



i also think dancing is great for arthritic people because it has weight bearing activity, is fun, builds muscle, and has a wide range of motion for all joints. (this is my activity of choice)
