Dr. Oz and YOGA AS THERAPY

Dr. Oz and YOGA AS THERAPY

Part 5 of the DVD Set, "YOGA AS THERAPY" (56 min.), is basically a separate film. (It's the only part on the second disc, and it has its own opening credits.) It explores yoga's uses for physical and mental health and healing and the integration of yoga with Western medicine. ears.www.yogaunveiled.com

What culture does Mind and Body Medicine come from? All of them except western medicine.
Just about every culture developed a system of medicine based on the inter relationship between mind body and spirit.
Western medicine is starting to wake up to this inter-relationship but is still very much asleep. The ones you mention come from India.India (anywhere really apart from the west). The west only treats the symptoms and it is ridiculous to think that a person can heal without looking at how the mind interacts and influences the body and vice versa when it comes to healing. That is why it is called 'holistic' (whole) - istic meaning the whole person is treated so the underlying problem is dealt with at he source. Intelligent, logical, simple and effective. (Too straightforward for the medical profession though - you cannot fleece a healthy person if they know how to take care of themselves and look after their health).
